“ Solid tromp tacos here. They come with cilantro and onions and they include a super hot packet of hot sauce. It was HOT! One thing I really liked was the addition of a grilled onion. Tasted great and added lots of flavor for sure. You order at the food counter and then pay at the cashier. They are super friendly and patient with you. It was my first time stopping by. The restaurant is in a gas station, it's clean in the seating area, and I'll definitely come back by Thursday for the $1.50 trompo special. ”
“ Friends /family and I love the foods!!! Service is good and portions are for two! Serious yummy ”
“ I intended to go to Fuel City for tacos and was just in a zone and pulled up here. Seeing the solid reviews I gave it a try. Ordering from the cook, grabbing a drink and other goodies from the convenience store, I paid for it all at the cashier. For $2.98 each I had 3 tacos - trompo, barbacoa, and chicharones. Trompo was good, maybe a little dry compared to the pastor I'm accustomed to getting, but nice flavor. Barbacoa was rich and full or flavor, but the chicharones were perfection. Cooked in a verde sauce, they had been cut thin enough that every bite had a nice chew, none of that gummy stuff. Appreciated the added grilled onions and peppers along with the raw onions and cilantro. This place is worth a return. ”
“ Eaten here a couple times, fresh, hot, and delicious, wide variety of plates to choose from, will return many times!!!! ”
“ We flew in late into Dallas Ft. Worth Airport, I wanted to stop and get food before the surrounding restaurants started closing. It was too late, most of the fast food places had already closed. I took a chance on an exit off the freeway and found this place. It's a gas station with a taqueria inside. We figured what the 'ell, gas was only two dollars and some change; food should be inexpensive and if the food wasn't good, we could just toss it. We ordered a chicken enchilada platter (with beans & rice), quesadilla and horchata. The food was cooked to order and the aroma was promising. We placed our order to go and cautiously ate while on the road. Our noses did not disappoint, it was right on point. That was some really good Mexican food! I've had my share of home cooked and horrible Mexican food. This was home cooked all the way. We did leave some left-overs, even that held up the next day! This food had some staying power. Very polite staff even though my Español was más o menos. I'm definitely coming back to this place and taking family and friends with me. Just remember, it is in a gas station; not a fancy Loves Gas Station either. ”
“ I'm a pescatarian. I enjoy vegetarian style meals and the fish meals. When I order either styles it has the following: lettuce, onions cooked on the grill, raw onions, pineapple chunks, fresh tomatoes. Grated cheese, homemade salsas, sour cream, grilled peppers avocado slices and everything is always cooked grilled fresh to order. The food is seasoned and very flavorful. The service is fast. The Ambiance is noisy because it's inside of a gas station- store with a small restaurant in the back. If you want hot, fast, fresh and good tasting this is it. It's a no frills place to look at but the food is delicious. ”
“ Soooooooo Gooooooood! Period This place stays busy and I had to get help with the language barrier but hands down good tacos. ”
“ Gas station tacos? I'm in!!! I didn't do my regular photos shoot, just didn't think about it. If you're in or near Haltom City stop in for some trompo tacos! This is their signature taco meat. Each taco is $2,79 or you can get 10 for $15.... I tried different tacos rather than just getting 10 of the same. Barbacoa is on point Trompo is on point Tripa is on point (ask for extra crispy) Caldo de res is on point Green and red sauce are both on point ”
“ We wanted tacos for the longest time and a friend recommended this place and to get the trompos. It's inside of a gas station. The smell of tacos smelled so good. You pay at the register. Everything tasted really good. The only downside is that I wish we got more salsa with our order. We got 5 tiny cups of salsa for 25 tacos. When we went to ask for more, they said no. Like that's so strange for a place not to let you get more salsa. That's the reason why I would dock a star. The salsa completes the dish! The red salsa was extra spicy if you want a real kick. ”
